This is Salt Boutique.

Salt Boutique, nestled in the west coast seaside resort town of Kalbarri, opened its doors in 2007. Stocking cult coastal labels like Zulu & Zephyr, Tigerlily and Auguste, it’s the kind of place you stop by on the regular. Ella Curic is the woman behind Salt, and Kalbarri is her home town. After a stint at boarding school followed by uni, she returned to the fold to follow her dreams.

“I had been working in the fashion industry while studying in Perth and also my family had fashion stores in Perth so I guess you could say fashion was in my blood,” says Curic.

“I was lucky to grow up in this charming coastal location. We are surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty and scenery including rugged coastal cliffs , turquoise water and incredible national parks filled with hidden gorges and the most spectacular wildflowers in WA. Kalbarri also has a very famous surf spot called Jakes Point.

“It just seemed right to name my store Salt. Salt also resonates this coastal resort feel with our beautiful labels stocked and store fit-out,” says Curic. “Salt is also the last fashion stop for our travellers until Broome, we love it when they come in on holiday from interstate or overseas and feel familiar and refreshed to see all of their favourite labels in the one store. We love using Instagram and insta stories to share our style with our customers near and far.”

The boutique is often in the WA Fashion pages and has been featured in Shop Til You Drop magazine.

This is a hard question: we LOVE all of our labels! And all for different reasons.

Right now, I can't get enough of…

Floaty tops and denim shorts, Superga sneakers and bikinis (it’s still beach days here until April!), and a little slip dress so perfect for day with a tee underneath or wear it alone at night.

Our best kept secret is…

Our stock knowledge. We love helping and styling our customers from our thorough stock knowledge of what’s in-store and what is best suited to each customer.
